Monica Christie

Monica ChristieMonica Christie consults and conducts seminars on negotiation strategy and influence to individuals and organizations in the information technology, health care, education and entertainment industries. In addition, she mediates corporate and education-related disputes. Ms. Christie received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she served as a teaching fellow for the Harvard Program on Negotiation, taught negotiation at the Program of Instruction for Lawyers, and mediated Massachusetts state court disputes. At the Los Angeles firm of Adams, Duque & Hazeltine, Ms. Christie specialized in products liability, insurance litigation, and white-collar actions. In addition, Ms Christie conducted research in Washington D.C. for the Department of Justice and for the United States Supreme Court. A former graphic artist, Ms. Christie designed for the Santa Barbara News-Press and assisted in production for Cable News Network in Hollywood, California. Ms. Christie received her B.A. summa cum laude from University of California, Los Angeles, where she studied communication, persuasion, and business; taught juvenile offenders math, reading, and AIDS awareness; and founded a program to help inner-city high school students prepare for college.
